We sang in September

"Do you remember the 21st night of September?  Love was chasing the mind of pretenders,
while chasing the clouds away...our hearts were ringing, in the key that our souls were singing"
Earth Wind and Fire

September...September was an awesome month.  Benjamin continues to develop and grow, and is loving figuring everything out.  We did have our fair share of sickness.  I think by now, Ben has had everything an infant can get.  In October he is getting tubes in his ears, so start praying for Dr. Palmer and the anesthesiologist!

Ben is now weighing in at 20 lbs, and is 30 inches long.  He is saying mum-ah, but I think that is referring to food, and not me :(  Every time he sees his bottle or his food, it's  mum-ah, mum-ah, mum-ah.  We think he is trying to say PaPa - whenever I tell him that he is going to Nina and Papa's, he starts making the "P" sound over and over again.  Other that that, we still just baby babble.

He is getting closer and closer to walking.  He cruises everywhere he goes.  He's already taken a few spills, but gets right up.

So what did we do in September, that I remembered to take pictures at :)

We had lunch with PePa at Fred's, one of our favorite hamburger places.  Benjamin enjoyed avocado and PePa's ice cold beer bottle.

Benjamin and Baxter continue to develop, hmmm - what's the word, let's go with friendship, it sounds better.  Ben loves to crawl to Bax and pull whatever hair he can get as well as slap him really hard to pet him.  Bax continues to be a good sport, and for the most part, gets up and walks away when he sees Ben coming.

Football season started this month.  Ben loves to root on his Fighting Texas Aggies when they play.  His dad on the other hand, does not.

***I would like to note, that A&M beat Ole Miss last night, for the 2nd year in a row - Whoop!

Sorry, I digressed there for a second.  We ended the month celebrating birthdays.  We celebrated Cameron Cung's birthday and Ben's Great Grandfather's 86th birthday.

We went to Chuck-E-Cheese for Cameron's birthday.  This was Ben's first time, and I don't think it will be his last.  He loved the rides, loved Chuck-E, loved the pizza, and loved the birthday cake.

I love this next picture, it's Jeff's grandparents with some of their grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Happy Birthday Granddad!
One last pic of Ben celebrating Football season.

Oh and I forgot to give a house update.  The framing is done, they are about to start the stucco.  We are still on the April 1 move in schedule.  Here is a pic of Ben and I in his bedroom.

Ben turned 11 months this month.  He wasn't as photogenic as he has been, he was ready to play.

I can't believe he is about to be a year old.  I guess in October's blog, I'll do my reflection of the past year.  I love you Benjamin!!

Summer Time

'But they eternal summer shall not fade'
~William Shakespeare

So, yes, I have been delinquent on blogging, I blame it on the summer.  I'm trying to think back to the last post in May and what has happened since.  We have had a great summer, it flew by.  Benjamin has changed the most these past three months.  He is now weighing in at a hefty 19 lbs and is 30 inches long - oh and he still has a large heard (98%).  He is crawling on all fours, pulling up on everything, and starting to be able to 'cruise' around a table.  He is working on his own language, so far he has created two words; ahh-gah, and ohh-bah.  Him and I communicate through soft screams, he loves to imitate whatever sounds I make for him.  Just today, mom and I think he started 'panting', like Baxter.  He started a new school, Trinity Lutheran Children's Center, so far so good.

So what did happen this summer - we had Father's day, lots of birthdays, and lots of pool time.

In June we celebrated Fathers Day at Joe Ts with our friends Joel and Lauren and their new baby Jack.

We went to Noni and Duke's to celebrate Father's Day and Duke's birthday - Happy Birthday Duke!

We went to Nina and Papa's to celebrate Father's Day with PePa and Papa, we swam , watched golf and ate lots of good food.

My nephew James turned 1 in June, hard to believe that year went by so fast.  They had a Dr. Seuss themed birthday, super cute.  Ben tried to help open his presents.

Colby Cung turned 1 too, we had a blast at Ridglea, swimming and eating our first bite of ice cream.

Ben turned eight months in June, he didn't like the sticker this month.

Now for July, it was filled with more birthdays and more pool time.  We celebrated the fourth at The Anderson's and then Jeff and I went with friends to Colonial to watch fireworks.  We didn't take Ben this year, wasn't sure how he would react to the noise.  Next year for sure!

Our niece Anna, turned five years old.  Ben was too little to play in the Bounce House.

Ben turned 9 months in July.  Yes, I know, he needs a haircut.

Here are some random pictures from July.  Ben loves his baths, and Baxter loves Ben food.

Wooh - okay - onto August, and I promise I won't procrastinate again.  Jeff turned 35 this month, old man river, we celebrated with dinner at Del Frisco's.  We had a wonderful night, just the two of us.  Henry McCoy turned 2 and because of this Benjamin got to meet Elmo, he loved him.

Happy Happy Birthday Jeff Early!

Benjamin and his cousins

August is to be continued, I haven't taken his 10 month pictures and I need to share a picture of Jeff's brothers new baby, Katelyn.

The biggest thing this summer for us, was celebrating Jeff being a father.  He is amazing daddy who loves his son with every bit of his heart.  I love watching them together.  Benjamin gets so excited when he hears his daddy or sees him when we get home from work/school.  Happy first Father's day babe - Benjamin is blessed to have you as his daddy.  I love you!

Updated Post - Here are Benjamin's 10 month pictures.
