You'll be his first kiss, his first love, his first hug.
You are his momma, you are his whole world, he is your little boy.

I know I have procrastinated Jacque Wolf....I am having to remember what happened in May.
We celebrated my first Mothers' Day. I felt so special all weekend. I found that I loved going into stores that were stocked with all things Mother's Day. I kept thinking - damn - I'm so glad to be a mom. We started to the weekend off with celebrating with Nina. We went to the lake and had a blast - We played in paint for the first time! The picture with paint is my awesome nephew James, I guess we didn't get Ben on camera.
Mother's Day morning, I got to sleep in until 7:30am - yahoo! Jeff cooked us a yummy breakfast, and Ben brought me a present, I cried - ha!
We spent Sunday afternoon taking a walk and then having dinner with Noni and Duke! The picture below is us on our lot. Now just waiting for a house to be built on it - hint hint husband.Ben turned 7 months in May. He is changing so much, mainly he is starting to look like a toddler, and not my little squishy baby anymore. He can sit up on his own now, hasn't mastered moving from sitting position, and he is army crawling everywhere. He is now into paper and water bottles. His toys are old news - now his interests are anything he can get his hands on that he isn't supposed to.
| Random pic of Bax - we still love him! |
Benjamin finally got to meet some of his future life long friends - Jackson and London Brown at dinner at Mi Cocina. Jeff's been friends with their parents for almost 20 years. Jackson shared his toys with Ben and London just loved on him.
We also had dinner with the Shields family. Ben got to meet more of his life long friends, Reed and Emma Shields. Their mama and I have been friends for almost 25 years. Reed loved entertaining Ben. He kept bringing him his 'boy toys' - like these big dinosaurs that changed into airplanes. It was adorable.
We ended May with a trip to the Food Park. We went sans Baxter this time and had a much more enjoyable lunch. We ran into our good friends The Escott's. Lainey and Ben enjoyed a bottle of formula together. I also realized I have Ben's stroller leaned too far back, poor guy - notice the difference between him and Lainey - same stroller.
To my Benjamin - I prayed for so long to get to be a mother. I thank him every night for letting me be your mother. You are an amazing little boy, that has brought a love and joy to my life that I never knew existed. I love you so much!!!!!!
